Mr. Basil Sommerfield

Biography

Basil is a partner within the advisory and consulting department and the Chair of the Supervisory Board, Deloitte Luxembourg. Basil is specialised in the financial services industry, providing consulting and advisory services to clients in retail and private banking, securities and investment management industries with three decades of experience. His abilities range from business, operations and IT strategy, business case design, TOM design, software selection and implementation, programme management and quality assurance to efficiency improvement, outsourcing advisory and lean six sigma.

Basil joined the Board of IBCL with effect from January 15, 2023, taking over from Olivier Lefèvre who served Board for four years since January 2019.
